Tel Aviv BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer)
A one-night-exhibition curated by Doron Golan and Adiya Porat. The exhibition will host artists and their projectors.
BYOB is a concept and idea by Rafaël Rozendaal operating the site www.byobworldwide.com that supports the concept's exhibition worldwide. The idea is simple: get a place, invite many artists, ask them to bring their projectors and computers.
BYOB is a celebration of the new world we live in and a glimpse of what computing could look like in the future: information will surround us, composing our surfaces, defining our spaces, enmeshing itself with the ether. A moving image is never an object, and when it is coupled with the increased flexibility of portable projection, the realm of experience quickly expands.
BYOB is for anyone who is interested in moving light, sound and performance. Projections are very flexible and create
a freedom to react to each other’s works, to move things around, and to create a dynamic collaborative experience.
The exhibition will take place on Feb. 25 (the eve of Shushan Purim) between 7-10 PM.
